My 1 year old dachshund is pregnant, and just starting yesterday she’s been wanting to go outside non-stop not to potty but to eat grass. She sits along the line of grass and eats it. Its like she’s being a weed wacker for us. Is this a sign of anything bad? Or should I not worry about it? She doesn’t get sick from eating it she seems to enjoy it. But never has until yesterday.

Grass makes dogs vomit, maybe the dog isn’t used to having a baby in there and wants to get it out.

It’s perfectly natural she’s trying to nourish herself grass is very good for her digestion and health. LOL they normally eat it when they have a stomach ache maybe she considers the babies a stomach ache. =] and if she throws up don’t worry about it, unless there are chemicals in your lawn. she may have just had too much, but its ok.
Normally animals eat grass when they are sick or in pain. If there only eating a little bit hey should be fine but i it carries on you should ask a vet.
It’s perfectly fine. Maybe her tummy was upset a little, so she ate grass to help the tummy ache go away.
That is instinctive, she wants the chlorophyll to help conceal her nest. Most animals and birds do that.
She is ok, Grass is good for her. Wont hurt her, or the pups.
